Kornati, the ‚’family’’ of some hundred islands and rocks is the place of extreme beauty. The magnificence of the archipelago and clearly blue sea make this island group a place which offers quietness and complete rest to the visitors. Farmers and fishermen from the island of Murter have been working hand for more than hundred years to cultivate rare parts of fertile land and build their modest stone dwellings.

Kornati comprise the group of 141 islands and sea rocks. Being of extremely high natural and aesthetic value, Kornati are the anthem to the nature and the ode to the inhabitants of this region who have been anlfivating this Paradise on the earth for ages… This park is the most beautiful place of the Croatian part of the Adriatic, its total area involves about 218 million square meters with 89 isles, islands and cliffs which were formed 15000 years ago. Due to the wave of warmness the ice-bergs of the Ice age melted and the sea level increased by almost 100 meters so that the peals of the mountains became islands.
